colors in the night sky
after a year of not spending the holidays here in the Philippines, I see fireworks. in Utah, the state where i stayed for half a year, New year's eve is all about getting drunk and walking in the lonely and dark streets of the state. I know for a fact that Utah is one of the most fun-deprived states in the U.S maybe because of the dominant LDS inhabitants of the place and known for their anti alcoholic beliefs. fun or not let us not put the blame on them. New Year is just different here and there and it so happens that it is so much fun to have your new year's eve here at home than somewhere else. fireworks plus noisy neighbors makes a perfect equation for a fun filled new year. thanks to the Chinese traders who introduced such tradition in our country.
yet to open golden haven
somewhere behind our village is a soon to open haven for dead people. yes, dead people and cemeteries around the vicinity is not something new for people who live in apovel, terry hills area. some people might think "isnt it scary to live near a cemetery?". Nope, they're dead :). so last sunday an hour before i played basketball i decided to tag along my brother and sister with me to this yet to open golden haven. a multi hectar mountain side property. the first thing you'll notice when you enter the area is the picturesque view that welcomes you. streets are mostly downhill and somewhere along the bottom of the place is a river which i believe opens out to the one we pass by going to marvilla beach. rivers are everywhere in cdo but never thought i could find one near our place. if the place is not custom built for the heaven-bound ones this place could be perfect for camping and picnics. biking could also be something that fits the place well.
